Tax Free Childcare
What is Tax Free Childcare?
For every £8 you pay into your online account, the government will pay in £2. This means you can
get up to £2,000 per year for each child towards the cost of childcare (or up to £4,000 per year if
your child is disabled).
15 Hours Funding
15 hours Childcare Funding for 3 to 4 year olds. We call this type of funding, universal funding.
All 3 and 4-year-olds who live in England are entitled to this offer irrespective of income
levels, benefit status, or family circumstances.
30 Hours Funding
We call this type of funding Expanded 30 hours funding. This type of funding is available from the
government for eligible working families for children 9 months to 4 years.
You can apply for 30 hours of childcare to use from the term after their child turns 9 months until
they reach school age.
